From my dealings with Quora its main function is a question and answer website where questions are asked, answered, and edited by other users in the shape of opinions.
Users can participate by editing questions and suggesting edits the answers that have been introduced by other users.
In this post we will learn how to use Quora for affiliate marketing leveraging.

By May 2019, Quora was appraised at $2 billion as a company and it was finalizing a $60 million investment round.
Which was led by Valor Equity Partners, a private equity firm with ties to Tesla, Inc. and SpaceX.
In spite of this, the site still showed very few ads compared to other sites of its kind and the company was still struggling to turn a substantial profit.
Having only made $20 million in revenue in 2018.
Several investors moved on from the opportunity to invest in Quora, citing the company’s “poor track record of actually making money.”
Schleifer identified the disparity between Quora’s valuation as a company and its actual profits as a result of “the high valuation for virtually everything these days in the tech sector.”
Similar To Wikipedia:
Quora is similar to Wikipedia and AskJeeves, also a social platform similar the Facebook.
Considering these guys were from Facebook no big surprise.
Basically people ask questions and get answers from other users on the platform.
Good answers can be,
Upvoted and climb the top of the site.
Some are even spotlighted in the Quora Digest, a daily newsletter that is sent to other users.
On the flip side Quora has downvotes, follows, shares and comments.
Quora has a blog platform the help users become authors.
So why use Quora for affiliate marketing.
Like any social media platform it gives you exposure the like-minded individual.
These are a few of the ways Quora can be leveraged to your advantage.
Expert In Your Niche:
When you are a newbie in any niche you need to establish your credential as an expert in your chosen field.
Quora can help you become that expert you so desire.
Becoming a member of Quora is straight forward no jumping through hoops.
Provide your name, email and password on the site and your good the go.
The option of linking your Facebook, Google or Twitter account and transfer the information from there.
All this sounds easy of course these guys are not silly.
They were once Facebook employees who made it on their own.
You will then fill your profile page which can include your bio, including your occupation, education, geographic residences.
You can also add your areas of relevant knowledge. Depending on chosen topics you choose, you can follow other users in your niche.
Quora will individualize your news feed and go through different layers of relevant notifications you choose to receive.
When your profile is completed, you can grow your mastery on Quora by looking for and answering questions within your chosen niche.
You may also want the blog about niche related topics.
As your answers are posted, users will either upvote, downvote, comment on or share the content.
Your answers will feature your profile photo and bio, a good answer from you in your niche will raise your authority and number of followers.
If you post your affiliate website URL or other information on Quora, users may go there for more information.
This may lead the traffic.
Obviously one of the hardest issues for affiliate marketers is generating traffic to your website blog.
Utilizing Quora blogs can be added directly to your bio by editing it.
This will generate visitors to your niche website and products and you in particular.
Google is starting the take notice of Quora as search results answers are turning up on first page results.
To gain traffic to your Quora profile, you can promote your profile by linking to your social media accounts, blog posts, other content and posts, and even recycled articles.
The best way for traffic generation will be the answers that you post the questions submitted about your chosen niche.
Look for questions with the least answers as you will have more chance of getting a response from that page.
Best to look out for answers and fresh questions that have a lot of up votes on them.
When you do this, you can answer them and then link back to your own Quora blog or website for more information.
The aim in the end is to get all that traffic back to you.
The Quora Partner Program FAQ:
There is no limit to the money you can make from the Quora partner program.
That’s the first question in their FAQ, and it’s plainly stated.
Providing you can ask questions that meet their minimum standards and get answers of a high quality you’ll get paid.
How do you get paid? Right now, Quora is connected with Stripe, and nothing else.
You are unable to get paid by cheque or PayPal, Stripe is the only way you will be paid.
You don’t have to join up an account right away, but once you have earned $5 from your questions, you’ll be given the option to do so.
However, you aren’t issued a payment until you’ve reached up to $10.
When your account reaches $10, you will be sent that money each month.
What can happen is a lot of accounts are going to start up at first, ask a few questions, earn a few dollars, and never reach the pay out amount required.
This is the nature of minimum payments, that they may never be paid out.
The Quora Partner Program is invite-only.
You can’t apply to join it, you just need to use the site and get invited.
People who are invited can’t invite other people as of yet,
Quora partner program is only open to residents of the U.S. who are eligible to work in the country, and it’s only available in the English-language sections of the site.
Quora Partner Compensation:
How does Quora work out how much to pay, and what do they pay for?
First of all, Quora only pays for asked questions.
You cannot earn money by answering questions, presumably because they know a ton of people are already just using the site to shill their own businesses.
There’s no sense in paying people to use your platform for advertising, that’s just not how it works.
How much does Quora pay?
They won’t say.
What they do say is that “Questions are compensated based on how well-answered they are and how many people find them interesting.”
Anonymous asks don’t count.
Since you ask a question anonymously, it’s not joined to your account, and thus Quora won’t be able to credit your account with the question.
It’s also worth noting that you only earn on questions for four weeks.
You can’t build up lifetime value on questions, because you only make money for the first month after you ask them.
This is yet another way that Quora is exploiting their community.
They motivate users to ask good questions and foster as much worth as feasible and as quickly as possible.
This then makes those posts rank well in Google for those subjects, boosting Quora as a whole.
They can then keep monetizing those questions after they stop paying you, and rake in more value overall.
Content generation is relatively easy for someone who has a fresh blog or website and a head full of great ideas.
Six months down the road, those great ideas have been exhausted and the impetus the keep blogging is long dissipated.
That’s when Quora excels.
Because the site enables you the input questions and have them pre-filled with suggestions (much like Google search) prior the completion of your inquiry, you can obtain lots of content ideas.
Quora has easy access to social media platforms which makes it a great way to generate traffic to your site.
You should include Quora in your marketing efforts.
At least you will have access to a community of specific niche experts applicable to your blog.
It’s also much easier the become a Quora contributor than a Wikipedia contributor, and the use of Quora to promote your business.
I would love to hear your thoughts about this post or this site in general.
I will answer all the comments on my website personally so drop me a line below if you have any affiliate marketing questions or comments.
I’m happy to help any way that I can.
Kind Regards Shane.
