How To Find The Best Keywords For Your Website

Here are a few reasons why the popular keywords shouldn’t be considered for your Internet website marketing:

How do you find the best keywords for your website?

Most popular keywords are getting lot’s of searches in search engines, thousands a day.

By side these keywords have the highest competition to deal with.

Most popular keywords have big competition in pay per click advertising campaigns.

The bigger the competition the bigger the cost per click for the keyword.

Many marketers fall into the same trap: the most popular keywords get the most searches in search engines and pay per click campaigns.

“I will build my Internet web site marketing campaign on this and that keywords and get lots of visitors to my web site!.”

Wrong!

What you’ll get for sure is the biggest competition as if you will be dealing with many the same thinking marketers and marketing corporations which have capital to invest in highly competitive market.

The more popular the keyword, the more bigger the competition.

Why not build your Internet website marketing campaign on less popular keywords, keyword phrases?

You’ll get less competition and a real possibility to compete for your business.

There isn’t a solid method to choose the right keywords, however.

One great rule of business explains the above said very clearly and it should be memorized as one of key rules.

While building your Internet business and internet website marketing campaign.

Keyword research for 2019

Here It is: “Search For The Biggest Demand and The Lowest Supply”

You can apply this rule when choosing your keywords.

Search for the biggest demand keywords that have slightly low competition.

Memorize this rule and start applying it today and you’ll notice how this principle is critical and how greatly it will help you in your Internet web site marketing.

This requires either an expert to do it for you or you have to keep up to date with a technology that is constantly being upgraded.

So Many Websites:

Today we are competing with thousands perhaps millions of sites all offering related products.

We are becoming dependent on the search engines like Google and Bing / Yahoo to promote our websites but to achieve a share of the traffic it is important that we know how to strategically place keywords or phrases on our web pages.

One of the most effective tools in marketing your site is to use keyword articles.

It is important that the keywords you use are not only pertinent and descriptive for your site but also they must have a high number of searches.

It is not going to help bring traffic to your site if a keyword is only searched for a few times a month.

Another aspect to watch is if your website has a lot of competition then strategic keyword placement is very important.

Ranking Your Website:

When someone types a keyword into a search engine the search engine uses an algorithm to sort out the most pertinent web pages from the database and then ranks them and then displays them.

Tactical placement of keywords then becomes a factor in how high your website is ranked.

Choosing the right keywords is perhaps the most important aspect.

There is software today than can help you analyze keywords and which ones are the most effective and get the most searches.

When trying to decide on keywords try to put you in the place of the person searching.

If for example my site sells holiday accommodation in Greece and I am looking for a holiday in Greece work out what you are looking for.

Keywords Must Be Included:

You have found the best keywords for your site you can now further reinforce the efficiency of your keywords by including keyword articles that describe a holiday or the benefits of a holiday apartment in Athens.

Make sure you use the keywords that in the title of the article and in the first paragraph.

The keyword can also be used in the text of the article but don’t saturate the article.

  5. Hi Shane! Thank you very much for this very useful article especially for me. I totally agree with what you write here that keywords is a very important element in building a website and winning competition with thousands or even millions of other websites and billions of other content.
I also have had experience building websites / content in the absence of keyword focus. And that makes my traffic very small compared to my keyword focus.
By the way, which one do you think is better, keywords with large traffic (no conversions) or keywords with small traffic (larger conversions)?
    Thanks

    • Hello Kylie,

Thank you for taking the time to read my article.

      Appreciate the question.

I would say keywords with small traffic, larger conversions.

There is so many factors that come in to play as your website gains authority.

You have to be it for the long game, no short courses with affiliate marketing.

      Regards Shane.

  6. The key concept is the Cost of the Opportunity. Highly competitive markets or keywords or keyphrases are only convenient for those who make you pay for the publicity service. That’s why it is important to get your niche laser targeted.

Instead of going for general health, reduce scope in time, occurrences & frequency. Go for instance for: Pre natal and mother’s health, between weeks 12 and 32, ideal diet and preventive measurements.

You may think that reducing your maker would hurt you, nothing father from the truth!

Hive it a try and confirm what’s well known in professional word; especialization pays better!

  7. I found that keywords with higher searches and lower competition don’t really stay that way forever. Sometimes when I revisit the keyword metric within a couple of months, the competition will become greater than the previous. If I have a blog targeting these keywords, how do I ensure that I can stay ahead of the competition and keep my good rankings on Google? Thank you.
