I found Clickbank via another website and i found an offer for a free tactical flashlight.
I should not have ordered the “free” flashlight since their was a shipping charge and a hidden membership charge.
The membership is not disclosed and I did not agree to one.
I canceled the membership and I unsubscribed to the website that guided me to Clickbank.
I will ensure in the future that I do not fall into this trap again.
John of Peoria, AZ Verified Reviewer Verified Buyer Original review: Oct. 29, 2016
My purchase arrived in the time stated but was defective.
So I emailed about my problem they told me sorry “We are not the manufacturer.
You can contact the manufacturer directly and let them know and they will be more than happy to help you out.”
So much for customer service???
Glad all retailers don’t have that attitude because they wouldn’t be in business very long…
Customer service is a word they must not know.
If your purchase is not defective you should be happy.
If not roll the dice and see what happens.
I cannot recommend Clickbank.

I’m very happy with what I got.
I am indeed happy that I found this website.
It my pleasure to say a big thank to you. I am indeed grateful.
I would definitely recommend you to my friends and families.
Thanks a lot.
Majority of reviews were 1 Star.
As we know most people if unhappy will complain. 1,500,000 affiliate marketers on this site you are bound to have disgruntled customers.
Buyer beware always read the fine print.
I understand ClickBank are the platform for transactions.
There will always be dishonest vendors.
Customer Satisfaction Is Important?
ClickBank claims customer satisfaction is important. Committed to customers and affiliate marketers alike makes good business sense if you ask me.
It is not rocket science.
Reputation is everything to a business whether it is yours, mine or ClickBanks.
Hard to please everybody in this day and age.
Scams are prevalent across the internet.
That’s especially true in the field of affiliate marketing or is it?
There is always going to be a few rotten apples.
Always has been and always will be.
The reviews above are a small minority.
Not saying they are not legit complaints. Businesses factor in the complaint to satisfied customer ratio into their KPI.
A company is not going to be unscathed over a 20-year time frame.
Also, you are not going to survive for 20 years if you are ripping everyone off.
This isn’t your run of the mill affiliate platform.
The mainstay of their digital products are created by entrepreneurs from all over the world.
They are not like other affiliate platforms which draw in large corporations.
ClickBank works with the little guy to make some money, the likes of me and you. Digital product creators put their products into the ClickBank marketplace.
Affiliate marketers create affiliate links to promote those products (and earn a commission).
The vendor creates the product for the ClickBank platform and the affiliate marketer creates a link to their blog and soon enough you start to earn a commission from the link.
Seems all above aboard to me not sure why people call it a scam. Don’t understand the negative comments. Sure their are products that could be misconstrued as offering more than they deliver.
Fad diets come to mind ClickBank did not invent this market yet people still fall for them every day.
So what are the biggest complaints why are so many people saying ClickBank is a scam. Let’s investigate what all the fuss is about is it really a scam.
Show Us The Money:
When new to the ClickBank network affiliates are not paid straight away thus causing people to call it a scam.
There is a reason why this is the way they do business
In the beginning new affiliates were scamming ClickBank this may coma as a surprise. ” Shock Horror”.
The way this scam was orchestrated was to promote certain products on their affiliate websites and use their own links to purchase the products.
Ingenious plan i hear you say, they were getting a 50-75% discount on their purchase.
I’ve said it before and i will say it again a few people spoil it for everybody.
As this is going against the rules with ClickBank they decided to change the rules to put a stop to all this skulduggery.
All new affiliates must refer five different sales in order to get that handsome commission.
It will be a large commission when you get it.
Get the feeling I know is crying out scam the loudest the original perpetrators.
OK just having a shot in the dark. Don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story.
As the show Mythbusters would say scam BUSTED.
There are so many products to choose on ClickBank and some affiliates that may be a little dodgy.
For example the so called affiliate who were ripping of ClickBank i just mentioned.
Pick products that are of high quality for your customer.
Your business model will not last long with this attitude.
This is why some may say ClickBank is a scam.
Some of the products are not the greatest.
This does not mean this network a scam?
ClickBank promotes many digital products that are created by the vendor, in turn the affiliate marketer can choose what product to sell on their website.
The reality of the situation is you will have good business people and of course the bad give a bad rap to the whole affiliate marketing platform.
ClickBank offer a 30-day refund to the dissatisfied customer no questions asked.
You can not ask for more than that. You may ask why does ClickBank sell these products.
With so many products how are they going to know which are dubious to say the least.
Seriously you try running a multi million dollar business without a few hiccups.
The onus is on you and I to promote a good product that will benefit our customers.
We won’t have many customers if we select inferior products if at all.
What is the answer to picking good products?
The Right Amount of Gravity:
Gravity is a number that ClickBank uses to show how well each product on their marketplace is selling through affiliate marketing.
While their are various views as to how this number is decided, the consensus is that a number between 20 and 100 is good.
Higher the number indicates more sales thus more competition.
No point in selling a product with no sales similar to picking a niche that no one is interested in.
I picked yoga as my niche which is ultra competitive that is not a problem for me, just more opportunity.
Look For High Commission:
Some products have 75% commission providing they are of good quality go for it.
Maybe they offer these high commissions due to low quality, just saying.
So don’t ignore the lower commission products they may be of a higher quality.
Your business will be better for it.
Choose The Right Product:
Make sure you pick the right product to promote to your customers.
As the customer will be taken to the vendors link page.
It will be out of your control once this happens.
The vendor will need to be credible and not come across as a scam product.
Ask yourself would you buy this product.
I am fortunate that the products i have linked to my Yoga website were vetted by the marketing platform I am a member of.
I will leave a link to my Wealthy Affiliate marketing platform which is also a no credit card required to get started.
The Good The Bad And The Ugly:
- No upfront costs: ClickBank has no upfront cost and is easy to sign up.
- High Commissions of 75%: Commissions from the vendors are some of the highest around.
- Recurring commissions: Upsale commissions from the vendor.
- Sales Analytics: ClickBank analytics give the affiliate marketer all the information they need to succeed.
- 60-day cookies: Longer than most gives the affiliate marketer a better chance of commissions.
- Several payout options: Payments from ClickBank are available by check, direct deposit, wire transfer or Payoneer.
- Low payment threshold: You can select your pay out, as low as $10.
- Products are of low quality: Not all products are of low quality.
- Popular products face a lot of competition: Competition is always going to happen that is business. You just have to do it better than the other person.
- Five Sales For A Payout: It is a con forced upon the good people, because the bad people made it that way.
- No PayPal option: Not so sure if this a con at least you won’t have to pay commissions to PayPal.
There seems to be certain elements of ClickBank that appear a little scammy.
You as an individual affiliate marketer will need to sieve through the different options available to link to your business.
I have links to another website of mine which is about yoga.
The products I am offering are a digital nature in the form of video training.
If my site was given any negative feedback about any of my affiliate links i would delete them straight away.
OK their is a few negative reviews.
Everybody has a right to complain.
Internet allows us to have a larger voice than maybe we should have.
The negative reviews will have a minute impact.
As an affiliate marketer don’t let these negative reviews stop you from doing business with Clickbank.
The PROS far outweigh the CONS.
The Cons are really nothing they are either self-imposed or a little different to what you are used to.
Guess what the jury is back in, no scam to be seen here.
ClickBank will be a valuable tool in your arsenal of making money. Can you survive on ClickBank alone maybe not.
In the future who knows. Affiliate Marketing is all about having your eggs in different baskets.
ClickBank is a good basket to have.
I look at this way all the products on ClickBank don’t appeal to me but that’s not to say other individuals don’t get a use out of it just because i dont.
Hard to understand other people’s needs and requirements sometimes.
I would love to hear your thoughts about this post or this site in general.
I will answer all the comments on my website personally so drop me a line below if you have any affiliate marketing questions or comments.
I’m happy to help any way that I can.
